A diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of upper gastrointestinal or HPB cancer can be overwhelming. Our role is to help establish the diagnosis and stage, explain whether surgery has a role and coordinate treatment with the other specialists involved in your care.

Multidisciplinary care
Cancer treatment may involve surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, endoscopic treatment, targeted or immune therapies, or combinations of these. The appropriate sequence depends on the tumour, its stage and the patient’s overall health and preferences.
